While the Super Cub uses rear drum brakes, the Hunter Cub is the disc brake. Anti-lock braking system is standard equipment in the off-road version.

The unique and outstanding features of the Hunter Cub are in the rear cargo rack, starter lever (still with the start button), and larger fuel tank Super Super (5.3 liters compared to 3.8 liters ). Off-road style Cub weighs 120 kg, 10 kg heavier than Super Cub.

Customers in Japan can choose red or brownish gray.
