Bentley produces the last petrol car

THE two-door super-luxury model was launched in August 2022 and has just finished the testing process, starting to be produced with a quantity of only 18 cars.

The super luxury company also only produced two pre-production Baturs for the actual test process with 30,000 km of test runs and 58 weeks of evaluation. These two cars are painted in striking colors, with one being Sector purple with a glossy black grille, and one Marina blue.

Batur has more than 800 special details that no Bentley uses. For example, the interior features a 3D-printed and recycled gold material called Charisma Dial that wraps the start/stop button.

More importantly, the Batur is the last Bentley to use the brand's typical but customized W12 twin-turbo 6-liter engine. This machine gives the Batur 740 hp compared to only 710 hp of the same house, while the torque is the same.

The two-door sports car features air suspension, active anti-roll bars, and all-wheel drive. The Batur also has traction control and an electronic differential lock.

All 18 Baturs have been purchased, with a starting price of 2 million USD each. These customers all work with the Mulliner personalization division to create the right paint colors and materials. Bentley also keeps the Batur as a "green car" with leather made from a process that uses less water and aldehydes than conventional methods. Besides, there are fabrics from the by-products of the coffee roasting process, as well as recycled wool for carpets.

Each Batur is therefore almost unique and takes 4 months to produce with a lot of manual processes. Bentey plans to complete the final car by the end of 2024.

The two-door sports car with a new design language is the last car to use the W12 engine, the number is only 18 units.

The British automaker introduced a two-door Grand Touring model named Batur, with the aim of saying goodbye to the famous W12 engine and also the design direction of Bentley in the future.

The car uses a 6-liter twin-turbo W12 engine, but engineers equipped with a new air intake, new turbocharger and a tweaked intercooler. The exhaust is made from titanium and finished in 3D printed titanium. As a result, the engine produces 730 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque, 80 hp and 100 Nm more than the Continental GT Speed. The car can accelerate from 0-96 km / h in 3.5 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 355 km / h. Power is transmitted to the 4-wheel drive system through an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and electronic limited-slip differential.

Other performance features include adaptive air suspension and electronic active roll control, which delivers up to 1,300 Nm of torque in 0.3 seconds. The model is also equipped with a Carbon-Silicon-Carbide (CSiC) brake system with 10-piston calipers 440 mm in front and 4-piston calipers 410 mm in rear.

Besides being the most powerful Bentley in history , the Batur is noted for its modernized DNA design that guides the styling of future electric cars. Like Bacalar, Batur is named after a natural lake located on the island of Bali, Indonesia.

The company does not go into detail, but the car is equipped with a lower and more upright grille. The Batur has a long bonnet that creates a sense of infinity and minimalist headlights, developed from the Bacalar. Body with sharp and delicate lines. In addition, the car has an electrically opened / closed spoiler, 22-inch wheels and Pirelli tires. The front bumper has a splitter, aerodynamic side skirts and a rear diffuser in carbon or natural fiber.

The interior compartment is considered luxurious and has many options. Bentley switched to using materials such as carbon leather sourced from Scotland or materials like Dynamica suede. The interior is finished in Beluga leather with Hyperactive orange contrast panels and Hotspur trim. Interior details such as the dashboard are painted gloss black and finished with a laser-etched work of acoustic waveform art, representing the unique sound of the W12 engine. Bentley even features 3D-printed recycled fiber mats and 18-karat gold-plated knobs.

Bentley says it's limited to 18 units each, priced at $1.95 million, and has been sold out. The first cars are expected to be delivered to customers in mid-2023.
