Wi-Fi connection sharing trick without ‘revealing 'password

Many users do not know that it is not necessary to disclose the password but can still share Wi-Fi with others. So what is the best way to share?

Generate QR codes for Wi-Fi

According to technology experts, with the QR Code Generator application users can easily generate QR codes containing information of Wi-Fi hotspots. When someone else scans this code, their phone will automatically connect to the network, minimizing the leak of Wi-Fi passwords.

To do this, first go to the Settings (settings) on the phone and select the Wi-Fi section, then write down the network name (SSID) you are connecting to and the corresponding password (note need to distinguish between upper and lower case letters). In addition, users should also note that the names and locations of the options can change depending on the device being used.

Next, users click on the arrow icon or the letter "i" at the end of the network name to view details, then write down the information in the Security section. Usually it will be WPA2 PSK.

Once you have all the necessary information, go to Google Play and install the QR Code Generator application or click directly here to install the application.

The application has quite a few features, however, users only need to care about the ability to generate QR codes for Wi-Fi. By default, the application will generate a QR code for Text, to change the mode, tap on the Text option and edit it to Wi-Fi. At this point, the user will be asked to enter the SSID (network name), password and network type recorded in the above steps, then click Generate to generate the QR code. Note, you need to enter everything correctly as the QR code generated will be based on this information.

Finally, users just need to click on the floppy disk icon to save the QR code containing Wi-Fi information as an image, granting permission to the application when requested. In case anyone asks for the Wi-Fi password, users just need to open the saved image for them to scan the QR code, the phone will automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network corresponding to the best quality transmission line.

Password-free Wi-Fi sharing on iOS 11 and above platforms

Before iOS 11, password sharing was often difficult and insecure and the download quality was poor. Now on iOS 11 and macOS High Sierra, Apple has introduced a new feature to solve this problem. With it the user will not need to remember complicated passwords.

For this function to work, the iOS 11 or macOS High Sierra device must be connected to a Wi-Fi network. When you want to share the password must be saved as a contact on the user's address book. All shared and shared devices must be running iOS 11 or macOS High Sierra or later. And if a user has turned on MAC address filtering on their Wi-Fi network, this function will not work.

Therefore, make sure the device is unlocked and connected to the Wi-Fi network the user wants to share the password with. Ask the network user to select the Wi-Fi name from the list at Settings> Wi-Fi on iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, or from the Wi-Fi menu on the Mac. They will see a password entry as usual. Note that the person who wants to use the Wi-Fi password must be in the user's Contacts.

On the user's device will see a pop-up card asking if you want to share the password with your friends or not. This pop-up card appears only when the shared person is trying to connect to the user's primary Wi-Fi network. Then select Send Password if the user wants to share access to his Wi-Fi network with friends or press the X button at the top right corner to turn off the card and cancel the love. share bridge. The encrypted password will then be sent to the other person's phone in a flash. Finally, press the Done button to be able to use the Wi-Fi network.
