From the fields of flowers, alpine lakes to sand dunes, the old village brings visitors different emotions when being once admired.
The wisteria garden of Kawachi is located in Fukuoka prefecture, a famous Japanese destination in April. It grows about 150 wisteria trees with 20 different types. When in full bloom, they drove down into a tunnel of purple-white flowers that fascinated visitors.
Happo Lake in Nagano Prefecture is surrounded by mountains and is located at an altitude of 2,060m above sea level. With a relatively small area, Happo possesses a paradise-like beauty because the lake is quiet all year round reflecting the peaks higher than 3,000m.
The Hitachi coastal park is located in the famous Ibaraki district with more than 4 million nemophila flowers. At the end of April and early May, when the flowers bloom, the hills in the park are covered with a green and purple color. In addition, the area of 190 hectares of the park is constantly changing colors with the seasons.
In February, during the Otaru Snow Light Road festival in Hokkaido, hundreds of candles were lit on a canal in the city. Along with lanterns and snow statues, it shimmered like a fairy tale.
Tottori-sakyu is the largest sand hill in Japan with a length of 16 km and a width of 2 km. The dunes here are a mixture of volcanic sand and ash for nearly 100,000 years, then formed by the sea breeze. Tourists can experience camel riding or sand-skating.
Tomita Farm in Hokkaido has 3 places for growing lavender, the Eastern area, Sakiwai field and traditional lavender garden. Particularly Sakiwai field has 4 types of lavender grown in rows, forming a brilliant flower carpet.
Ainokura is a famous Japanese village recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site. The oldest gassho style house has been here for about 400 years. Here, visitors can admire the art of ancient Japanese architecture with the roof without nails and steep design to prevent the accumulation of rain and snow.
Not only owns hundreds of beautiful terraced fields, Ini Tanada town in Hiroshima is also famous for its delicious rice grains. It also regularly organizes events related to rice cultivation, attracting a large number of visitors.
The garden in the Adachi Art Museum in Shimane is considered a vivid picture of Japan and is one of the most beautiful gardens in the land of the rising sun. Mr. Adachi Zenko founded the museum in 1980 to satisfy his passion for both Japanese art and gardens.
At the foot of Mount Fuji is a carpet of flowers with more than 800,000 colorful shibazakura trees, including pink, white and purple. Every year, when the first flower blooms, thousands of tourists flock to the Great Lakes area to join the Fuji Shibazakura Festival. This year, the first flower is expected to bloom on April 18.
Senganen Garden is located along the north coast of downtown Kagoshima. It is like a miniature Japan with streams, small ponds, temples and a bamboo forest. From here, visitors can overlook the Sakurajima volcano and Kagoshima Bay.
