Inside the best hotel in the world

Dubbed the best hotel in the world, Nihiwatu costs up to US $ 12,000 per night during peak seasons.

A luxury resort on the island in Indonesia recently received the "Best Hotel in the World" award by Travel + Leisure magazine.

Nihiwatu, formerly a little-known surfing spot on Sumba Island, now has 28 villas, private pools, treetop spa rooms, horse riding areas and beach restaurants serving delicious meals. Best.

In peak season, room rates here are $ 12,000 a night but only $ 650 a night in low season. Visitors can ride horses to watch the sunset, surf, explore mysterious waterfalls and many other beautiful landscapes.

Sumba Island is twice the size of Bali but is almost separate from urban development. Therefore, Nihiwatu received many special compliments for the service "closely linked to the local community and ecosystem". All amenities on the island limit concrete to a minimum.

Nihiwatu was founded in 1988 by a passionate couple. They built 10 rooms at sea and gradually developed into a luxury resort, before selling to American businessman Chris Burch in 2012.

Each villa is designed in a different style, but all have the same characteristics of a private pool, sun deck and spacious outdoor leisure area.

Nihiwatu has a private beach 2.5 km long, always preserved and carefully maintained.

The villa on the cliff helps visitors to relax in the middle of nature without missing the sunrise on the sea or watching the stars when night falls.
