Hiking routes for sightseeing on Jeju Island

Jeju Olle-gil walking path
Jeju Olle-gil is a walking path spread around the island's coastline. This road passes through small villages, beaches, farms and forests. At many points along the way you can take pictures with the beautiful scenery.

There are a total of 26 routes (including 21 main routes and 5 sub-routes). The shortest route has a 3 hour walk time, the longest can be up to 8 hours. On the road there are many signs to guide visitors.
Geomun Oreum climbing path
This route stretches over 9 dragon peaks and is a UNESCO conservation area. To preserve the landscape, the road limits 450 people to climb every day.
During the 4-hour conquest, the road will take visitors to admire the vast forests, the breeding ground of many migratory birds. Please note to book tickets before visiting.
Seongsan Ilchulbong sunrise watching road
Also known as the "sunrise" peak, Seongsan Mountain is one of the 7 new natural wonders of UNESCO. When traveling here, visitors should not miss exploring the geological, cultural and historical values.
The time to climb is about 30 minutes walking on the stairs with different slopes. When you reach the summit of Seongsang Ilchulbong, you will see the view of Oreum crater and the sea on the horizon. Watching the sunrise is also an experience not to be missed when you come here. To catch the dawn, you need to get up early and prepare yourself a warm coat.
Climb Hallasan
With a height of 1,950m, Hallasan is the highest volcano in Korea and is located in the center of Jeju Island. With steep cliffs, bizarre shaped cliffs and slopes covered with azaleas, this is a route not to be missed by climbing lovers.

Hallasan is divided into 7 different climbing routes. Seongpanak Palace in the east and Gwaneumsa in the north of the mountain lead to the summit of Baekrokdam, where the crater lake is located. Those who want to experience the scenery by light and more relaxed can choose the paths leading to the back of the mountain. All roads at Hallasan Mountain are no more than 10 km long.
When conquering Jeju Island roads, bring climbing gear and clean, comfortable, and athletic outfits. Also bring plenty of water and junk food, as the roads do not have stalls.
